You can use it for a wide variety of activities that are approved according to the Swedish Tax Agency’s rules.
Here are some examples of approved wellness activities:
- Gym and group training
- Running and fitness races
- Massage and preventive treatments such as smoking cessation, stress management
- Nutritional counseling and health consultations
- Activities such as bowling, go-karting, agility, and trail riding.
The following examples are NOT approved as wellness activities:
- Membership fees and licenses: Only the cost of the actual activity can be covered.
- Buying or renting equipment: You cannot use the allowance to buy or rent equipment.
- Beauty treatments: Cosmetic treatments are not approved.
- Healthcare: Health care or medical treatments are not approved.
- Spa entry: Spa entry is not approved (unless it’s already included for free in a wellness service).
- Pool tables, e-sports, and adventure swimming pools are not approved.
- Purchases for others: The benefit is personal and cannot be used for someone else.
- Solarium: Solarium is not approved as it is considered beauty care by the Swedish Tax Agency.
- Naprapathy, chiropractic, physiotherapy: Treatments by physiotherapists, naprapathy, and chiropractic are not approved.
