It's great that you're excited to use your wellness allowance! For more inspiration, feel free to check out the Epassi Blog!

You can use it for a wide variety of activities that are approved according to the Swedish Tax Agency’s rules.

Here are some examples of approved wellness activities

  • Gym and group training
  • Running and fitness races
  • Massage and preventive treatments such as smoking cessation, stress management
  • Nutritional counseling and health consultations
  • Activities such as bowling, go-karting, agility, and trail riding.

For activities without elements of exercise, such as massage, nutrition counseling, and health consultations, the activity may cost a maximum of 1,000 SEK per session to be considered of less value and tax-free

The following examples are NOT approved as wellness activities:

  • Membership fees and licenses: Only the cost of the actual activity can be covered.
  • Buying or renting equipment: You cannot use the allowance to buy or rent equipment.
  • Beauty treatments: Cosmetic treatments are not approved.
  • Healthcare: Health care or medical treatments are not approved.
  • Spa entry: Spa entry is not approved (unless it’s already included for free in a wellness service).
  • Pool tables, e-sports, and adventure swimming pools are not approved.
  • Purchases for others: The benefit is personal and cannot be used for someone else.
  • Solarium: Solarium is not approved as it is considered beauty care by the Swedish Tax Agency.
  • Naprapathy, chiropractic, physiotherapy: Treatments by physiotherapists, naprapathy, and chiropractic are not approved.
